Krishna was eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu who was born in the Dwapar Yuga.

Son of Vasudeva & Devaki, grew up in the care of Yashoda & Nand.
He loved to have butter so much that he would often steal all of it.
Dahi Handi is observed during Janmashtami involves forming human pyramids to reach & break a pot filled with yogurt suspended at a considerable height .
Devotees of Lord Krishna observe a ritualistic fast during his birth anniversary .
After the celebration of Janmashtami, sixth day is celebrated as Chhati Mahotsav. .
